I've never lived alone. It'll come to one of us, we're both 80 now. Several of my friends have been widowed in the last couple of years.

We found my daughter a piano teacher. She got on well with the lady who was teaching her and passed a bunch of exams up to about level 8 iirc. We always waited outside. Not because of poor playing, wanting to avoid intruding or any of those things. The teacher had a parrot of neither of us could stand the pong. Not sure if this was all parrots, the woman's inattention to parrot hygiene or what but we found it unbearable. Oddly enough our daughter wasn't fussed,
