Title: Reviews reviews reviews
Post by: klondike on October 20, 2022, 07:42:53 PM
Why is it that whenever I buy something I get emails asking me to review it. Sometimes out of boredom I look at them. I bought a usb disk drive to house my ever expanding movie and boxset library. That was less than a month ago. One of the early questions was how reliable I thought it was. That was when I stopped looking at that one.

I did answer a customer question for Argos once. I still get questions on the thing now despite a while back noting in the answer that I wouldn't be answering any more as their process tells me to turn off my ad blocker. That answer was rejected as not meeting guidelines.

I bought a toy fishing kit (long story why) and keep promising myself to put up a spoof Amazon review of the kit along with a monster pike supposedly caught on it. So far though I'm still thinking that life is too short.

Amazon keep asking. OH buys packs of watch batteries, we get lots of watches donated at the charity shop, he gets them working if he can.  They sell well, because they are cheaper to buy than having a new battery put in an existing watch at a jewellers.

What can you say about batteries!

Alexa often pipes up with a notification  'Three months ago you bought a (whatever) how would you rate it out of 5..' ?
When the guy delivers my parcel and leaves it in the porch I always get asked  'How did we do' ?
Just looking for anything on the net prompts others to show what they have..
They are all linked.. all your details are passed on for others to share.. Even when they say your details are private... they are lying..

Bearing in mind it's just a picture, a cardboard cut out would suffice. Touch of black and white paint on it, maybe a fin...

Well it is pike fishing season and I'm fishing Saturday. I bought an electric vest last year and did a review because it was good. They approached me to review a heated gillet which I wouldn't buy as if you need heated you probably need sleeves but I get it close to free so I'll try it on Saturday and if I catch a pike I could use the photo for both reviews.
