for the past few days i was lucky to find a fence supplier who had on the day i phoned taken a big delivery of fences,
how ever my next door neighbour wasn't so lucky as he is 95 years old and sadly he had lost three fences and concrete post , so trying to find some one to do the job of supply and fix isn't easy as i expect these people are sought after .
how ever i did find a man who can do the job but it meant my neighbour will have a four week wait due to the mans work load.
Q; have you been lucky in having your fences replaced if not do you have a story to tell us,
We don't live in an area where fences, or sheds, seem to get blown down so we're lucky.
We've never had a wheelie bin blown over although a neighbour had one blow over a couple of years ago.
Touch wood this time my fences stayed put !
Ours were needing replaced anyway, but at the moment they are just being shored up untill the spring. I don't want panel fences again as they are solid and the wind can't get through them. I would like spars this time with a wee space between each one.

Our fencing is made out of individual strips of wood fixed to very thick strong wooden spars so each strip could be replaced if needed to be.

Mines made out of bricks. If it ever does succomb it will be expensive to replace though.

After some 40 years of our fences, replacements, re-panelling, repainting etc. We invested in a steel Colourfence, 10 years ago.
Guaranteed for 25 yrs. It cost twice the price.... But, is still as good as new.
No replacement worries, in our lifetime! :wink:

I've seen it too. Usually when they are either retaning walls or in need of repointing. I've repointed mine where they needed it. Fortunately well sheltered anyway too.
