Chris is on form today.. I put a reply up on Brian's thread as did klondike..Both were taken down within the hour.. And guess which member was also logged in !!!.. Mr Big Head himself..

If Chris is trying to stop any connection with this site.. Maybe he is still very interested with PF... He seems to have no intention of banning me .. which is good to know..
I might be eating  my words come the new year..

I'm getting a bit confused.

So we have this "independent" backup here for PF & am I reading it right that the original PF has now opened a backup site? If correct in what I'm thinking, then where the hell do I post?
I'm seeing threads shutdown by Chris & I also note that he's saying that on appearance he is the sole Moderator. Would it not be a good idea to have three or four Moderators, that way questions & answers might be a bit more forthcoming?

Beyond that, is there another forum on offer? (got my tin hat on for answers).
I'm just a click and go type of fella.....teetering on going TBH.

Akbuk old pal, this was not opened in competition with the 'mother' site, but Chris has come in weilding a stick accusing certain folks of recruiting or even poaching, and is now monitoring those members, who invited you, not poached nor recruited, but invited you to keep in touch just incase the main site collapsed, it has been crumbling for some time thru non maintainance... offers were sent to Chris, offers of help from those who could have sorted out the problems, but they were either ignored or told to mind their own.... now we are mostly a group of frieinds who would like to keep in touch, that was the only reason 'K' set this up.... so just use either site as you wish, there is no either them or us about it, but i. in particular am sick of writing a post which is then lost or even not being able to get onto the site at all, so most of my posts will probably be seen here, where there is no hastle, and that is my only reason for being here... so no need to decide just carry on...

Where do I actually post? The posts seem to me to be getting fragmented or repeated between two forums.
Will we reach the stage of posting one forum and getting the answer on the other forum?

TBH I think Chris must have upset quite a few PF posters as I've never seen this place so busy. I'd just like to say thank you all for your show of support.

What has/did surprise me was, the debate on what's happening & what to do about it being shut down each time the subject came up.
I did see Chris's response basically that arguments would develop. My take on that is, we're all grown up people & if like me you value PF, there's no need for arguments.....the need is to fix the problem & nothing else.

I think he was in gamekeeper mode. Not sure who asked others to contact them via the forum. There was obviously some outside the forum because we had others emails already.

Reminds me - I bet my email has gon from my PF profile now. I'll have a look.

Actually it hasn't - missed a trick there old chap

I can understand Chris's concerns if he sees multiple posts on another forum that normally would have been on his forum. However, wielding a big stick, banning/moderating members is not the answer. I have belonged to another forum for over 20 years and several members have their own forum links in their signature. This has never been a problem. Would it be unethical if my neighbour read The Mail and I suggested he read The Express as well? One of my members started his own forum and PMd people to join it. We lost a couple of people, so what? Members come and go for many reasons. We don't own and control them. I am  happy for people to drop by and post whenever they can. As for this ridiculous censoring system, my members often use other characters to get round it - even a hyphen will do! We can't even use cracked, but crack is acceptable. Madness.
