Ooops - never spotted that....

Macron wins with 58.55% of the vote - a bigger margin than the pundits were expecting. Apparently he is the first French president to win a second term in 20 years

It must have been the hairy chest photo wot done it

Jacqueline

Just like here, don't suppose the French people wanted either of them but it was damage limitation.

Diasi

A 41.5% vote share is still a good show for an ultra right-wing party.

A 17% difference is well within the bounds of possible election rigging or voting fraud.

Some French people were interviewed yesterday and they didn't seem to like any of their politicians much.  I think many people in this country don't like ours much either.

Alex

Too true Sheila, I really don't know who I'd want as PM if Boris is kicked out in May.  Ben Wallace has appeared from nowhere as a front runner , I don't know much about him - yet.   I rather like the straight talking ex Labour man Lee Anderson, but I guess he doesn't have enough experience of parliament to be PM.

#40
Well, was it a fix  ? :hmm:
If its true that French TV showed 14 million votes each for Macron & Le Pen, then 30 minutes later announce a 58% to 41% win then it seems a bit fishy.  When you think about it, there's no way the EU or the "Establishment" would have let Le Pen win.

p.s. Macron was pelted with tomatoes today when he visited a market outside Paris.

And of course our very own British Prime Minister Tony Blair and future King Prince Charles ...

These and a few hundred others are the tight 'cabal' that runs the 'Free' world (joke) and whenever they get into a bit of trouble, like Trudeau, just when the truckers strike was having an impact miraculously something occurs to get them off the hook ...

Very clever people and very dangerous for the future.

Klaus Schwab, who runs the so called 'youth movement' and the Economy wrecker George Soros dominate the so called Evil Empire and its secrecy and aggressive Security knows no bounds.

It's actually worrying the power these people have, collectively they're scary !

Does our Parliament have much say in things at all?
