Hi Raven knee replacement classed as a major op. from what you say, that's what you will be having. 34 weeks since my OP and completely free from pain. Seven days before the op you have to shower each day using a wash lotion which they give you, a clean towel used each time. You are awake throughout the op, you hear a lot of noise, but feel nothing. They get you on your feet the same day, plenty of pain killers. In hospital 3 or 4 days. On you tube I found all exercises required and I did them several times a day. I was soon able to walk without crutches

Hi Hugh, You must have misunderstood as my next and 3rd appointment is for a check up and xray on my knees. I had both my knees replaced ten years ago. I have a check up every couple of years to make sure everything is holding tight.
My pain from the appointment I had a few days ago is internal and the operation I need is a hysterectomy. 😥

Oh Raven my dear, did you have  a hysteroscopy? if you did you poor soul I wouldn't wish that on anyone. One thing I will say the hysterectomy is a doddle honestly, the worst is over.  I was so worried about having mine but needn't have been, I was well looked after and made a full recovery, please don't worry.  Jac

Good luck Raven. I had that op forty years ago, best thing I did, and its so much simpler nowadays.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Very sorry for the misunderstanding Raven I do hope everything goes well for you.

So did I about 35 years ago, followed by HRT.  I remember thinking 'This must be what it's like to be a man'.  I felt well and the same all the time - no ups and downs.  I'm still on the HRT and tried to give it up once but had dramatic hot flushes and Paul said I felt like a slug so went back on it.

I had the operation when I was thirty five.. It is so much easier today.. Probably easier than having a baby.. !!
As Sheila said.. 'This must be what it is like to be a man'... So true..
I've read that many stars would pay to have the op..  Back then..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I've got an idea you may have had a different H in your HRT crabbyob and fwiw I reckon you may have OD'd that day...

funnily enought i have always been 'reasonable' in confrontational circumstances, and handled the hot flushes really well... i dont know what 'H' was in the injections, i think it might have been 'hairless' my face gets bigger every day, and i try and avoid hair combing as often as possible...

I haven't had this operation and I hope I don't have to after reading Jacq saying she wouldn't wish the pre-op scope on anyone !
and Zoony moans about spoilers ..........

s'okay Jacq I'm keeping my fingers and legs crossed
