I did like the earlier series of The Crown. How close things are to the truth I don't know but I bet the Royals hate it.
I'll probably watch the series on the basis that I can't form an informed opinion of the situation of them v The Firm (Royal Family) until I've heard both sides.
I'll have to log in to my daughter's Netflix account.
I'm going to watch it, why not ? it won't cost me any money as I'm already with Netflix.

I have just watched the first of The Crown season 5. Nothing in it so far seems improbable and it isn't very flattering.
For as long as there's been a Royal Family they've all been no better than the Krays & the Richardsons.
But with posh accents.
Royal families are ancient blood lines. The ones that became the head honcho originally were the toughest and meanest and richest. The richest bit came from robbing those who weren't the toughest and meanest.
I agree.. They stem from ruthless , greedy killers.. Who took land from others because they could.. They handed out buildings and land to the (faithful)..

I was doubly annoyed this morning. Both the GB News shows I watch in part before dragging my sorry backside out of bed were wall to wall with this crap. Each lasted only a few minutes. Yesterday's Express and Mail website front pages were full of Royal pictures.
The reason this crap gets covered must be because lots of folk read and listen to it. God only knows who or why.

When England played USA in the World Cup, there was a side bet. If England lost, we keep Prince Andrew, if USA lost, they keep Megan Markle. Both sides were so scared of losing, it was a boring draw.

Yes it was ! I managed to stay awake and watch all 3 episodes, but I may have missed the odd 20 minutes here and there due to nodding off. It was much ado about nothing.
I watched it this afternoon while Marge was out.
Absolutely boring.
I watched for about ten minutes at the beginning... fed up, falling asleep,
moved on to the middle... tolerated it for a few minutes, nothing much happening,
fast forwarded to near the end... gave up completely.
I see that there are further episodes. I wonder if anyone has bothered with any of them!
