I have hedges to the front of the house.. They are conifers and over the years they have grown very thick/deep.. This year I really struggled to cut them back.. They are taller than me..
I could get them trimmed every 3 months at 150 a time but I am loathe to throw this sort of money away..
They are being cut down to size this weekend.. 3 foot taken off the top.. which will make them a manageable 5 ft..
I spoke very nicely to a local firm and they are doing it for a 250 pounds.. what a result.. :yahoo:
I know they will die off at the top but it will all grow back..
Keep the wood!
I got it cheaper because they are shredding the wood for chippings..
I have no use for wood from conifer hedges.. I can't build a shed with it..
oh I dunno Scrumpy, your woodworking skills are well known on this site  :yay:
