I know the mother ship is first out for people Googling pensioner's forum, but is there a way we can use a name beginning with ' pensioner' on Google that would link with this site ?  Just a thought and as you know I have no idea how these things work.......

I think the only way we are likely to get new members is by invite. If you were looking for a forum you'd google pensioners forum and that search is dominated by PF. Even pensioners chat forum is dominated by PF as it has been around for years although we do sometimes appear in that search on the first page.
https://www.google.com/search?q=pensioners+chat+forum&hl=en

This site is indexed but nobody is searching on the terms that would bring them here.
We do well on
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=friendly+pensioners+forum&hl=en
or
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=friendly+pensioners+chat+forum&hl=en
but people seem to just stick to pensioners forum. It's what I'd search on and I don't think there is a way around it.

If you meant pensioner in the url it's pointless as there are scores and scores or those too - often council run sites which will probably score well.
