Launch day I assume..It does certainly give it scale.
Couple of Ford 105E Anglias on the right hand side - my first car was an Annie!

Not the best of 'em. A certain propensity to fall over on the wrong kind of corner..
Never had that happen. Did 40,000 miles in about 14 months in it. Did get a bit squirrelly in the wet

The picture is very impressive..
There was a series on tv many years ago about the Boswell family and , If I remember rightly, the opening shots were of a street with a large boat in the background..
I recall that or something similar on TV. It seemed unreal.
Not much commuting to work needed.
This ship was built by Swan Hunter on Tyneside in 1970 - thank you Google

I loved that series (bread) their meal times were so like ours in the house us 4 grew up in. The big kitchen was the hub of our house, and meal times were very lively, like the Boswells were. :yahoo:
I was watching a repeat of it on Drama not long ago.
loved the series - especially the long suffering young lady at the labour exchange

I remember her! I enjoyed Bread.
unforgettable - the sigh and 'Yes, Mr. Boswell?'
