We should all be cryers today.

Just checked and he was 86. If asked I'd have guessed a fair bit younger. The funny man behind so many funny men. RIP

crabbyob

klondike

I had a mate with white hair and he was only about 5.

erm excuse mate, the young lady who lives here was going to New York for a few days i had to take her and a workmate to another wormates house from where they would start their journey...
they are all three pushing fifty... she reported one friend had shown an interest "i thought you said you lived wi an old guy" she confirmed that there was indeed an old guy at our address and that i was he, how old might you guess she asked and the closest they got was sixty two the other was younger... then  a few years ago when i went fishing with my sons pal [same age as my son] i was paying for the day ticket and asked for one and a pensioners, the bailiff started writing out the tickets then stopped and shook his head he nodded towards my sons pal "i'm sorry mate but i dont believe hes a pensioner"... :moon: :moon: :moon:

BTW I'm nearly 60. Sadly getting further away from it every year but still only 12 years away and I reckon that's a nearly.

crabbyob

i bought some steak knifes in Sheffield, the lady asked for photo I.D. [but i think she was after a snog. :halo: .....i struggled to get served, even in uniform when i was in the army...lol

They do tend to bung you out of pubs if you are shit faced the worse for wear. Couldn't be connected in any way I suppose?

crabbyob

no mate the guys who got off their faces werent used to booze, in the pipe band we were fed the stuff daily, yes there were some proper drunks, but me and my mates generally missed the worse of it...

OH and I saw Barry Cryer and Willie Rushton in the 90s, they were touring with their show 'Two Old Farts in the Night'.

RIP Barry Cryer.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖
