Title: portion control when cooking for the family,
Post by: alfred on July 26, 2022, 08:17:32 AM
When it comes to cooking say a Sunday roast , do you have or use a portion control  that is equal amounts of food on each plate , or is it down to what each person likes, small, medium, or large dinner ,piled up  or  left to individual choice,.

I do not count food when cooking for others... I do plenty.. It is then up to the 'eater' to decide the amount on their plate..
There is nothing worse then 'sharing' out portions..
My family/friends take food home with them..

When we have friends over for Sunday lunch outside I have all the meat on one dish and they help themselves, same with the salad bowls.
