I went to the breast screening this morning and I had said I would rant if there were any male staff there. There weren't. It was all very friendly and peaceful.
There was a different desk for appointments which I assume is for ladies with problems? I felt a bit sorry for a lady who came in with her husband and went to that desk. He was probably supporting her but was politely sent off to get a cup of tea.
I know when I was ill a few years ago, Paul used to come to my hospital appointments with me. Two brains are better than one at remembering things and also he was a great support.
Well done Sheila..
I feel sorry for the woman who came in with her husband.. Perhaps she needed him to be there for genuine reasons..
There are some hard nosed women sitting behind many a desk.. :waiting:
Especially in our doctors surgery some years back..
They are probably womanning the machine guns to keep patients away from the surgery these days.
I feel sorry for GP receptionists as one of our neighbours is one and she takes a lot of flack while the GPs hide at home. Also she is on minimum wage!
Perhaps she could have a quiet word with the doctor.. If ever she sees him..
Or even recognizes him. !
