Title: gettin old
Post by: crabbyob on April 04, 2022, 02:07:45 PM
May be an image of one or more people and text that says 'One minute you're young and fun. And the next, you're turning down the stereo in your car to see better.'

I turn the music off if I'm driving somewhere new and need to concentrate

Lol

But I don't have the radio on either, never have & the emergency services have had issues with ghetto-blaster driver not hearing the sirens.

Also, in icy weather, I like to hear the car engine as it can give a good indication that the driving wheels are losing grip when the revs go up. Yes I know the car has a rev counter but it means I don't have to be looking at it. Lol.

I still can't really get used to the fact that the hybrid Mondeo has neither a rev counter, nor a temperature gauge. It's the first car that I ever driven, never mind owned, without a temperature gauge, and I can't remember the last time I had a car without a rev counter.

No music in the car unless it's for a reason. Too distracting, whereas Radio 4 is an excellent companion.
