Title: Car Free Sundays.
Post by: Raven on March 31, 2022, 05:10:05 PM
Bloody stupid idea, especially up here. People work all week and Sunday is the day for families to get away together. Also I'd have to hoof 5 miles to the pool and another 5 miles back afterwards.
What do you think?

Sounds like BS to me. The increased price will reduce usage by many anyway and what is left is probably pretty much essential. The work from home is the biggest BS there as many simply can't.

I hope it is just BS on the writers part. We are on that awful NC500 and it will be chocablock with motor homes shortly as the holiday season starts, I can just see them all parked up going nowhere on Sundays.....Not.

Considering there are no Sunday buses where we live, we are 4 miles from a small town and my dodgy knees would not walk nor cycle there and back anyway, it's a non starter around here.

If you are a city dweller it would be fine, but as Raven has so rightly said they are all in our areas in their camper vans anyway.

totally and utterly bloody stupid. Unless it an April Fool spoof, it is so stupid that I'm surprised the Greens haven't come up with

More towing caravans onto private land or public parks and setting up camp in this neck of the woods.
