Title: get ready to mix for pancake day.
Post by: alfred on January 26, 2022, 02:43:50 PM
Although pancake day is in i think march its noticeable that you can as many of you already know to buy ready made pancakes , how ever to my mind they aren't anywhere as good as mother used to make as then they were fresh out of the pan  and with a sprinkling  of  sugar and a lashing of squeezes lemon it was to me mouth watering and of course i wanted more,

Q; are you into pancakes , or do you prefer shop bought ones,

making my own is beyond me - Veronica used to make them -lovely. Last year I had some microwaveable pancakes. Not as good as Veronica's, but not bad

Yeah mixing that egg milk and flour can be tricky

The ready made ones are less trouble though and cheap as pancakes.

I love pancakes too, the old fashioned way with lemon juice and sugar, although I like maple syrup too.  I haven't made them for years, not since the nest emptied.

Gosh it must be about 35 years since I made pancakes but you've just made me fancy some with sugar and lemon.
