Seeing the shithole into which Afghanistan is descending, once again, cheered me up.

I doubt it will make much difference to the numbers.
The ones who can afford to pay the traffickers will always get here.

Didn't some of us say that Afghanistan would revert as soon as the Americans left. Several countries have tried it and failed.
