Title: Criminal Damage
Post by: Alex on September 07, 2022, 04:14:00 PM
As long as these morons are allowed to do this, nothing will change.  Sometimes they're arrested, but released the same day !

Nothing will change until the police are allowed to do skull-cracking baton charges, followed by good-hidings in the cells.

Oh, there aren't any cells, they're hotel-type custody suites.

What happened to the ones who glued themselves to the speaker's desk?  I would have just left them there and locked the door.  They would have been very uncomfortable with wet pants!

Last I read the Met Police said they have 'launched an investigation' - so that probably means they were released same day too. :boo:

Perhaps the new home secretary will tell the police to put a stop to it.

New government or not, I'm absolutely sure that nothing will be done to these people and others like them.
The strange thing is that if I, a law abiding citizen, were to do that I'd be arrested, charged and sent for trial.
It seems that if you claim to be part of a 'protest group' you are effectively above the law.

I was thinking the same thing as it does appear to be the case.

Only for certain preferred causes. Try a bit of criminal damage protesting about the dinghy boys and see what happens.

Absolutely true.  What sort of a government do we have now?  One which supports those who do harm to this country, yet punishes those who try to protect it.
Well, that was Boris.  We'll have to hope that Truss has a bit more about her.

She is certainly talking the talk. Govern as a Conservative. Wow  That will make a change if she does / can do so. I must admit to a little optimism but expect to be disappointed. After all I was full of optimism when Boris got his 80 seat majority but his wholehearted support for the Net Zero path along with allowing legal immigration to boom let alone nothing to tackle the dinghy boys wiped that out for me.

Since 1992 much of government policy was decided by unelected foreigners in the e.u. and was broadly socialist in nature. It does seem to have taken a long time to get back to our government determining our policy.
