Today I learned that there's a great view from a hill called Torrisholme Barrow overlooking the West Coast Main Line and Morecambe South Junction a five minute walk from our new home. I photographed a steam train from it

Today I learned that in addition to the unnecessary mayor of greater London, there are another ten superfluous deputy mayors, all paid over £132,000 each.

People complain that a train driver can earn £60,000 or a GP over £120,000.

Follow the links to see what we have to pay them. As I understand it, their role is to advise the mayor, with whom all power rests. These parasites are assembly members elected off a list, and I doubt if any Londoner could identify any of them. I take an interest in politics and I have only just found out that we have a deputy mayor(s) and they are paid astronomical salaries.

I found out that the £2.1 trillion national debt is less than half of it.

The cost of gold plated inflation proofed public service pensions is estimated at £2.3 trillion.
