Title: Poached Eggs
Post by: Alex on April 03, 2024, 07:23:53 PM
Have you got a gadget for poaching eggs ?    I've got a poacher pan but the non stick cups are shot, I've replaced them once but even coating them with olive oil doesnt always work..  This morning I put two in a pan of boiling water, what a mess that left !

I've had several egg boilers over the years and one had poaching bowls but the current ne doesnt so I don't poach eggs. Not that I did when I had the one with poaching bowls. Too much faff for me.

I've never tried this method. I hear you are supposed to stir the water to create a vortex.

If you can bear American

Thanks for clip Ashy, I'll try using the shallow poacher pan without the cups and will give it a swirl   :upvote:

I put water in frying pan.. bring it to the boil.. turn it down to just simmering.. put in egg.. after a few minutes .. sorted.. I remove it with a flat slice.. the one with holes in..
