Next month my first grandson will be born. I started late and my daughter has followed suit. I look at the world I will leave him and it is not as good as the one I walked into in 1955. Is it my fault?

Everything seems to be my fault nowadays so I'm sure it's my fault. Both his parents are white and graduates so he will be sharing the blame. In fact all his grandparents are graduates and professionals , so when he hits teenage years he will have a ton of responsibilities. Assuming he is still a he.

When his mother inherits the £1m in property and pensions I will be leaving her, I hope she will use it to benefit him but still leave him something to strive for. There seems to be no ambition or aspirations anymore and people who try to make themselves better are sneered at. The sense of accomplishment is not encouraged anymore.

So where did I go wrong?
The problem with being retired is that you never get a day off

It diesn't matter if you're a graduate or a bin man - if you're white, it's all your fault !
