Title: Whistle while you work ?
Post by: Flying Bomb on March 18, 2022, 08:14:40 AM
I tried to whistle this morning, first time in 50 years.
But I found that it was very difficult to do.
Men once whistled in the streets but not anymore.

If you are elderly can you still whistle ?

I can whistle but not in tune.. My singing is the same..
I've just had a practice...
When we were kids we would put two fingers in our mouths and blow..!! Or SHOUT..

We had a postman that whistled.. Everyone remembers him.. He was very popular..
Don't hear people whistling no more.. Men on building sites are not allowed to.. and I have noticed that a lot of people are missing their front teeth.. through neglect.. So unable to whistle..

I have one front tooth missing - smashed it on a wash basin when I slipped and fell on a wet floor in the RAF - and I can still whistle
