In uncertain terms. We may not be overly fond of the French people but at least they have the guts to stand up to their government if it tries to bully them.
Why do we let our governments run amock and do as they like to us. Where has the British Backbone gone?
Well done to the French People.

A new bill due to go through parliament will raise the official age at which people can stop work from 62 to 64.  :lipsrsealed:

The Irish are revolting too https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Irish_transitional_shelter_protests

It seems all we do is thank the government profusely should they offer any Vaseline to ease our discomfort.

Things really kicking off in Ireland - north and south.  What does it take for the English too follow their lead ?
France has always had more strikes than UK -  I think

Well I'm hoping to find out but certainly not holding my breath.

Poor old Ireland has changed beyond all recognition since my brother in law went to live there years ago.  At least the Irish are standing up for themselves and protesting about the foreigners dumped on them, we just let more and more in and our kids are indoctrinated to think it's OK.

Raven

I think us Brits need to give ourselves a good kicking and man/woman up. Start saying NO. After all as Neil Oliver said......What can the government do if we turn around and say :"enough no more."

I'm not sure why the illegals want to go to Ireland.
Not only is it a longer journey, once they are here, but do the Irish house them in four-star hotels like we do?

Yes they are in hotels.   Easy to enter the EU country, travel to NI and get all the perks the Brits hand out.

klondike

Just one set of people smugglers to pay presumably too.

Jacqueline

I heard a while ago that illegals are flying into Ireland and saying they lost their passport on the plane. Well they must have had one to start with to get on it, why are they not turning them around and sending them back on the same plane?

Exactly, No hotel for you mate, a tent on the beach untill you produce it. OR, you can be returned to where you came from.
