AfD under attack

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party's co-leader Tino Chrupalla was injured in a "violent incident" at a campaign rally Wednesday in the southern German state of Bavaria.

The AfD's national office said Chrupalla had been hospitalized in the city of Ingolstadt, where he had been attending a campaign rally ahead of Sunday's state elections in Bavaria. 

Earlier this week Alice Weidel received death threats, according to AfD officials, she
was forced to flee her apartment due to what appears to have been advanced intelligence about an imminent attack against the politician and her family as the AfD prepares to contest regional Bavarian elections on October 8th.
