Italy has honoured our late Queen Elizabeth II with a new postage stamp issued to mark the first anniversary of her death a year ago.

The commemorative stamp was unveiled on Tuesday at a ceremony in Rome in the presence of the British ambassador in Italy, Ed Llewellyn.  It's the first time Italy has honoured a foreigner this way, apart from a couple of Popes !

Oh, but the French are our friends, are they not, ever since we saved their skins in both world wars?
