Neither have brought great honour on either thrmselves or the House of Windsor.
If it weren't for the respect and affection a large swathe of us have for the Queen herself I suspect there would be an active and maybe successfull republican movement based largely on the antics of that pair.
Both of the Princes put themselves in harms way when serving in the Forces I respect them for that Harry went off the rails when he met that control freak of a woman , not paid either of any heed after that. They screwed up they don't deserve a medal form HRM
As for Republicans I strongly suspect that if a referendum was held in the UK on the future of the Monarchy there would not be much support for that why destroy part of our history which has endured for a thousand years, once it gone its gone for good.
Politicians come and go the Monarchy keeps going HRM has worked the clock round done her duty for 70 years
Charles will slim down the Royals when he becomes king - IF he becomes king that is :smiley:
He may well do according to rumours in the press, he may have to wait a few more years yet

The Queen has been superb as a reigning monarch ..
She is loved by her country and much respected by others..
She must feel terribly sad with all that is going on around her of late.. but those that disappoint her and us must not be be permitted to enjoy all the trappings that being and ACTING as a royal offer..
Privileges must be earned not just dished out..

There was a time when I was really against Camilla because I liked Diana. She was certainly no saint but she was gulled into a marriage with a man who already had a long standing mistress.
If Charles had married Camilla years ago when they first met things would have gone very differently. She is obviously the right sort of wife for him and does not try to compete or outshine him in the way Diana did. I would not have any objection to her becoming queen.
According to the Mail and others Harry and Andrew as well as other members of the family with be awarded Jubilee Medals bought and paid for by the Queen

The two titles intrigued me - hadn't realised that before. Dug - the only previous King William of Scotland was William of the house of Dunkeld, 1165-1214. England's William II was William Rufus 1056-1100, but at the time Scotland was a separate kingdom, hence WIII and WII for William of Orange

And I always thought it a PR gaff that the liner QE2, built on the Clyde, was so named, when HM was actually the first Elizabeth for Scotland. I, and others, thought Elizabeth of Britain would have been much more suitable

You are out of date a Royal can marry a divorcee as both Charles and Harry did with the Queens permission, they are no longer forbidden to marry a Catholic either, another recent change is the next in line no longer has to be male either that is why Princess Charlotte is fourth in line.
At least Camilla had some dignity and didn't wear a white dress and veil on her second marriage like Meghan. I know I am old fashioned but white dresses are for first marriages not for someone who has been round the block.

On PF I cheated. When trawling through the numerous reported threads Chris noted that I was cheating and emailed me asking me to stop. I did.
My view is that we are all adults here. I wouldn't want to see real potty mouth stuff but trust it wouldn't happen. It did on PF though because the filter will only filter what it is told to and I noticed with delight that one insult thrown at the Deep by someone wasn't censored so adopted that instead.

Personally, I think it's time Chris put it all behind him, stopped sulking and removed the Threads. Improved his forum and fixed everything, added to it, and accepted there are now two similar ones in operation. In other words moved on.
It's not the same over there is it ? I can't put my finger on it, newbies have certainly jumped in feet first, but there's something missing.
