Title: Selfish Old Men ?
Post by: Alex on June 16, 2023, 02:21:20 PM
Al Pacino has become a dad again at 83
Each to their own of course and his 29 year old girlfriend obviously enjoys sex with an old person, her choice !
My thoughts are with the baby, who will perhaps not have his dad around on his 5th birthday ? So I feel this old man has been selfish to bring a 4th child into the world.

He's not the only one, his mate Robert de Niro has had his 7th kid at the age of 79.

It's none of my business you don't need to tell me,  but what do you think ?

Pretty much the same as you think.

Far better than being the child of a couple of 30-yr-old coke-heads who batter it to death before it's 4.

Neither scenario is ideal.

Modern man does the nappy changing, but I don't think they will.

They actually might, at the height of their careers they probably spent bugger-all time with their children & will now be enjoying the time that they are now able to spend with the new ones.

Personally I see nothing wrong with it & I wish them all the best & hope they enjoy being new fathers.

I too wish them the best..
The stories we have read recently about children being cruelly treated shows that the young are not always the best parents..
It is very rare that an older parent hurts their child..

You're talking about child cruelty, no idea what that's got to do with Al Pacino but in a way it is being cruel to bring a child into the world knowing the child will grow up without a dad.

Agreed.
As long as it's loved by both parents for as long as it has both that's the main thing.

I don't think enjoying it is necessary for conception. Maybe she is just a gold digger. I'm guessing getting millions for a few years full time work is more profitable than piecework.

Will older parents see the child mature and grow up? Will
the child be okay with their parents being grandparents
age?

Children adapt to their surroundings .. If they have an older father who is old enough to be their granddad but loves them so what..
I would rather have an older father that I can rely on .... Than what some poor kids get..

At 83 I doubt that Al Pacino is likely to be a living father much past any child's teens. I can't see that I'd be wanting to father any now and I'm considerably younger.
