Would you believe a man could build a 3 foot by 11 foot fibreglass yacht with a top speed of 2.5mph in his garage then cross the Atlantic Ocean solo from Canada to Cornwall?

No? Me neither. Sadly the laws of physics didn't either and it sank before it got going.

You still have to admire the bloke for trying though. We are a nation of gallant losers.
