Tried to add an avatar to my posts, but although the message 'profile successfully changed' came up, the avatar doesn't show. What am I doing wrong?

Fat fingers. I'd typed in the path wrong. It's one of the annoying things they have scattered all over the admin panel so I did a direct change on the data base and got it wrong. That messed up quite a few things. I'd better check there aren't any more.
That avatar I used to test they could still be uploded looks like a good potential smiley :smiley:

My Avatar came from a list on PF Mk I, there wasn't much of a choice ! it transferred over without a problem :upvote:
There are a couple of standard avatar packs get shipped with the forum code.

I'd had a fat finger moment while transferring the site over. Any failure to get it uploaded originally was almost certainly due to that. I shall claim arthritis and sulk. :smiley:
