I felt a tad chilly and wondered if maybe some radiators needed bleeding. Now I must have half a dozen or more rad keys of various types - die cast ones, brass ones with wings, brass ones with a bar through. They are in various places. Draws of accumulated detritus. Decorative pots that may as well serve at least one useful purpose. A couple of toolboxes.
Except they aren't. I've checked everywhere. The rad key fairy has struck. I turned the thermostat up and the rads all got hot and from feeling the tops I reckon they are all OK. I've still ordered 4 off eBay though. Nutty.
That happens to me with teaspoons
Somehow for me teaspoons are never a problem

My radiator key (ONE) is in a little tin with key that opens meter boxes.. It has been in the same drawer for years.. I never have any trouble finding it because I know where it is.. :halo:
My knickers are in a drawer all together as are my bras.. My tea towels are in a kitchen drawer.. Saucepans/ baking and roasting tins have their place too..
So no problem.. Where the hell are my glasses..!! They were on my head just now.. :hmm:
in my house everything has its place. just wish I knew what it is

Talking of bras, I'm a 'bra hoarder' whenever I buy a new one, I never throw the old ones away - no idea why, any amateur psychologists on here ?
Cos "One day they might come in handy for something"?
Scrumpy mentioned her glasses and that reminded me of the other night when I had trouble putting on my reading glasses. I was already wearing my other pair!

I never throw the old ones away.Does that mean you still have your trainer bra..?
I have just thrown away my last comfy BHS bra because it was falling to bits. When I heard BHS was closing I went round all the shops in the area buying my size.
I just can't find another comfy make. The lady in M&S told me I was wearing the wrong size but the one she sold me seems too tight. Baggy tops and no bra is the answer at the moment!
Surely the factory that made the BHS bras must still be making them?
M&S do have an online store and I think will deliver by post as well as just into a store for pickup.

Fellas this is girl talk.Shelia, You have my sympathy, good old M & S have discontinued the bra I have been been wearing for years (not the same one!!). The one they say is the same isn't, and I tried another one, which although the same size isn't. So what do you do? you can't go round the High Street, what's left of it taking your clothes off and trying on bras. You could probably send online for 20 and none of them fit, its a nightmare. I expect the factory who made your bra does still exist but its finding it. Why do these bloody shops keep changing their styles? I don't want something different every six months. My bra had been going for years, they must have sold a load, if it 'ant broken why fix it?

Thanks for the sympathy Jacqueline. It's definitely girl talk. Thanks for the link klondike but a man wouldn't understand
Men don't understand about bra's..
Just because , when younger, could undo a bra in the dark with a flick of a finger they think they are experts..
I remember having a trapped nerve in my back.. When I asked Sam to do my bra up he fumbled and farted around.. He started with a ' Yeah! sure.' and ended with 'Bloody thing'..
One of the reasons I don't bin old bras is I think to meself ' that'll do for round the house'
M & S have a poor selection of non-wired bras imho, plenty of contraptions that look like they've been made at Cammell Laird ! but I can't be doing with underwireds now.
I took all the wires out of my underwired bras.. They fit brilliantly..
Hate the wires, I usually remove them.

Funny thing that, men are good at getting them off when they want to, but rubbish in helping you fasten them
As for wired bras, must have been invented by men, no women would inflict that upon herself
Rad keys turned up from eBay in today's post.
Checked the rads and as I though all OK.
Putting away the 4 keys in safe places wher there is at least some chance I'll find them.
One goes in the little toolbox I got recently because the kitchen draw all the frequently used are stored in was a bit full. Rad keys turned up from eBay in today's post. Checked the rads and as I though all OK.

One is put ready to take down to the toolbox in the cellar sometime. :check:
One is put in one of those ornament things that serve no purpose other than somewhere to put oddments like rad keys. Inside there is a rad key....
Maybe you could have one round your neck on a chain ? beats all the rooting around
I do have 5 now. Perhaps I could get an ear pierced an wear one as an earring? Now should that be the dull cast one or one of the new shiny brass ones.
You may wonder why I got 4. I believe there is a little magical creature living here. He steals stuff when I want it then puts it back later. I don't doubt I'll keep finding them over time and hear a tiny chortle right at the edge of perceptibility. When I need to use one there is an outside chance that he may have overlooked one and I shall be lucky.

Yes I've got them too, think they came with me in the containers?

Now you mention it that one on the left looks a bit familiar
They must be the creatures nicking my teaspoons
If you recall the pic of my dishwasher cutlery rack I reckon they are dumping them in there.
I remembered the Borrowers or thought I did but was maybe getting mixed up with a Pratchet childrens trilogy Diggers, Truckers and Wings. Childrens books they may be but I still thought they were fun - I guess I'm just a big kid at heart.
I can keep things in the same place for years and suddenly it disappears. I "lost" a camera battery recharger that way about 6 months ago and had to get a new one on trusty Amazon. Its exactly the same model. The old one still has not turned up. I blame the cleaner!
