I have watched a couple of episodes of this new series which started on Sunday..
I never thought a topic like this would capture my interest..
But it has..
Michael Rolls might enjoy it.. not too sure of anyone else..
thanks - I'll try and have a look
Gets a good IMDB rating

Currently out of stock at Zoony's
There is a five year old BBC series called SAS Rogue Warriors based on the same book there though.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6497600/
It is loosely based on the truth...
The forming of the SAS... Great acting..
Where is it airing?
BBC 1 on a Sunday evening..
Taa. Surprised it isn't stocked at Zoonies then. The original 3 partner is listed but the one I tried isn't working.

Ah the new one is available from Zoony's after all. I had spelled heroes without the e. I can download all 6 parts. I'll take a look.
Watched 2 now. It's all very gung ho isn't it. I'd say it is very loosely based on what happened but who knows?
I had thought we were going to see a lot more of the second in command of French military intelligence but either I blinked or it was edited out. Hey ho. Probably for the best at my age.
But ... are you enjoying it.. ?
It's entertainment not a documentary.... So for the most part yes. Some gratuitous violence next would be good.
Watched the last two. Entertaining enough with a shovel of salt
Hey. !! A bit of escapism is good for the soul..
Is this the programme Matt Hancock was in ?

It does say it is based on the truth. Paul was in the military for 25 years and knew some SAS men so I asked him what he thought. He thinks it is probably pretty true.

Good old Paul.. We can rely on him to tell us how it is..
I am enjoying it.. No-one expects it to be spot on .. They tell you that it is based (loosely) on the truth..
Sheila.. Did Paul enjoy it.. ?
Matt Hancock is facing calls to lose his fee for "SAS Who Dares Wins" after joining I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. Matt landed in Australia on Tuesday night ahead of entering the jungle on Wednesday. ...
The man is an idiot with a capital C..... Bit like the other one Jeremy....
Bit like all of them come to that....
I mentioned on another thread that he is reputed to be getting over 300,000.

yes, although the first episode wasn't so good. They are not necessarily muscle bound thugs. They think up their own solutions to the problem and sort it out in their own way.
November 07, 2022, 08:31:30 PMHe's had a little think and has said that they are not following orders as soldiers do. They are quality people, have determination and think for themselves.
.. and they fear not.
