My daughter sent me this copy of who's getting what.

There is also £400 against fuel costs to be applied to electricity bills from October, for every household.

The thing to remember is that all this money is actually our money and most are just getting some of their  taxes back. Rishi isn't dipping into his personal piggy bank.

And those of us who paid into a private pension don't get the biggie of £650.

Plus, as klondike has pointed out, some of us will have paid far more in income tax this year than we'll be paid under this scheme.

However, something is always better than nothing.

Brian will probably be saying those getting any benefits shouldn't get the  £650 nor the £400 fuel credit or the £300 geriatric allowance either. He's a real charmer at times.

I'm relieved that the £400 is to be applied to energy bills rather than a straight money hand out. It'll go on what its intended to.
