Superb as ever Scrump but it's so sad to see Pavarotti these days.. He looks so ill and that voice is as ever..I think he must have a painting of his vocal chords in a cellar somewhere..

Never knowingly listened to him, but with a name like that, even I knew of his existence!
Mike
I only like the one song 'But, I won't do that'.. Brilliant..
and perhaps he held you in high regard also Mike
but we will never know now...
i thought the song was i'll do anything for love....?
I was sad to hear about Meatloaf this morning. The family said that they are not disclosing the reason but someone said that he needed oxygen off stage.
My ex (an entertainer) died of lung problems and I guess that it could be caused by taking huge breaths of smoky air in night clubs.

Meatloaf dead what a shame. I wasn't a fan, but everybody knew Bat Out of Hell I also read he was asthmatic.
Apparently he was the greatest rock star of all time and very wealthy..

Brash, desensitizing dangerous rubbish.
That so called song has' damned' 8 times in the lyrics.
Refers to guns and killers etc
It's all part of the odious mechanism now working in society
that creates lack of feelings some people have
for others. Bit by bit it will grow.
BTW, I'm not some bible punching nut, but an Atheist.
https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/meatloaf/batoutofhell.html
In fact, the song started out being written for a 1970s sci-fi rock opera version of Peter Pan called Neverland by Jim Steinman, who also wrote the song, and concerns a motorbike crash in the style of Leader of the Pack..
The words wouldn't bother me as I can't really hear them !
Pretty much the case with most IME...
Bat Out of Hell was one of the best selling albums of all time.. He must have quite a few fans..
