Title: canteen of cutlery.

Yes I'm writing about those wonderful boxes of silver knifes . forks, and spoons, some even with tea spoons, all nicely laid out in a presentation box and in the past usually given as a wedding present ,

there where other presentations boxes of fish knifes, and forks, i think even spoons, correct me if I'm wrong. how ever today i done suppose these different sets of cutlery are still being made or sold  and it seems there are fewer and fewer people having a church wedding .

Q; do you remember seeing these lovely sets of cutlery all neatly laid out
as i think were reluctant to use them but more so for show ,

I have a set - wedding present to Veronica and her first husband 52 years ago. Haven't used them in years, although they did get brought out in the early days of our marriage - 35 years ago, when there was more family at Christmas and the like. They were used the first Christmas after we came up here in 2003 when, again, there was quite a gathering
