Title: On the bench..
Post by: Scrumpy on October 18, 2022, 12:58:00 PM

Sitting on a bench.. people watching.. I love it..

I sat on a bench chatting to a stranger .. She was interesting to talk to.. Her husband ( second) sat the other side of her .. He was a quiet man and looked a little bit down trodden..
She started chatting about her first husband, telling me how happy she had been.. He died..
She then married her second husband.. But it wasn't the same .. she wasn't happy .. She continued to tell me why..  and I was surprised that the man didn't say a word..
Under my breath I said to her.. ' Doesn't your husband find it sad that you are talking like this.'?
She answered.. ' Oh !! don't worry about him.. he's going deaf'..
 Poor man..

On the opposite side of the coin Sam would often say  ' Are you sure you said that. ! '
.. and he said it in a way that I often doubted myself..
