I love most detective stories, I have loads on audio book files. It depends on my mood as to what type I listen to, Gory, Scottish, Funny, Other Worldly. At the moment I'm almost finished ploughing through the Hamish Macbeth ones. To be followed by The Dresden Files.

Nothing nicer than sitting down with a good book ..
I enjoy a Whodunnit.. The book I am reading at the moment is  The Guest List.. ( whodunnit).
I never look at the author when selecting a book.. I buy most of mine in a charity shop.. Then I put them in Waitrose coffee shop.. for others to read..

I like Karen Slaughter too, as well as Ian Rankin (Rebus), Ann Cleeves, Shetland, and Vera, and loads of others.  I'm currently reading a Harlan Coben.

Thanks for the heads up ... there's a few authors for me to try there.

I especially liked, and can recommend
Elly Griffiths
The Doctor Ruth Galloway mysteries.

It's archaeology meets detective work but the interest lies in how well she portrays the characters and their interaction with each other.
They're a great read and I promise you'll get hooked.
