Title: face creams,
Post by: alfred on March 13, 2022, 07:35:24 AM
Both my wife, and daughter, use on occassions face creams , and like many items advertised on the box face cream advertising appears from time to time,

i often wonder are they as good as their supposed to be and if so what are the benefits of using them, perhaps the ladies on the forum most likely have the answer,

My daughter pays for 'fancy' creams and lotions.. I don't ..
I use SIMPLE face lotion.. suits me..   I have few wrinkles.. nor my mother.. I think good skin might be hereditary ..

I don't use anything. Which may explain a lot.

I did used to use more expensive brands who said you would get good results etc. Now I use Aldi's at £6.99, I have not noticed any difference. Another thing that I blame on Covid lockdowns, can't be bothered with all that.

As we age our skin often gets quite dry and genes can affect the degree of dryness, so whether you pay £5 or £50 I think we should all use a cream, on our faces at  least.

I agree Alex, I don't pay a fortune, but being a pale skinned Scot I use cream with a high SPF. Current one from Aldi.  Genes do play a part, oilier skins age better, with fewer lines. I put my wrinkles down to laughing a lot!

the Indian boys at the hotel i spent my first 6 months at in Goa used to bet, as new arrivals from the UK got in...
they reckoned they could tell the difference between the Scots and Irish... and the English Welsh...
the Scots and the Irish had to spend two weeks in the sun just to turn white...
