General Discussion / Re: Useless UN

A very interesting discussion and very interesting points of view. However, what you forget is that Hitler was megalomaniac. He should have been stopped much earlier and much suffering would have been avoided and less people would have had to die.
As to my family, maybe you can't imagine what it means that you have to leave the place/house where you have lived for 200 years with only the things you have on your body. You are German and you speak German, but Germany is a foreign country for you at that moment.

Imagine the miners going to the pit.. working in the dark.. Doing a job that can be potentially very dangerous.. Their life is always black..
They had little or no choice but needed to feed a family..
That's what I call a boring job..

If the boy you talk of thinks his job is boring he should look for another..

Compared to the time when I was young, young people have such a lot of alternatives now, so if he thinks his job is boring, why doesn't he look for a more interesting, however, maybe not so well-paid job  or do something that he enjoys in his free-time.
My former boss always said - young people want to have fun in their job - but every job has good and not so good sides.

The red irritates me a bit - what does it stand for, what does it want to say to us?

I think it is brilliant..
The face in a sea of red just shows a man.. No crowns or robes.. Very powerful yet discreet ..

Nora's sultana dumplings were famous in the town
She sold them at six for half a crown
They were plump round and tasty
She also sold homemade minced beef pasties

A brilliant likeness and I really rate the expression in red, very clever. Thinking of Charlie-boy though ~ perhaps it should have been green?

I'm sure he'll appreciate it though ...
