I'll just leave this here for you. Now you can't say you've not been warned to stay out the water.   This will upset Dageus, no more swimming for him and no more paddling for the Clyde's.  [1150]
A bit more Heatwave Hysteria.  :boo:

A wonder what next? Nessie coming ashore?
Incidentally, the Aussies, many of whom have a rather warmer clime than the UK have a saying dealing with hot weather - 'slip, slap, slop' which in English translates to 'slip on a shirt, slap on a hat, slop on some cream'. Pretty good advice

I laugh at my middle sister who has lived in Sidney since the 1960s, she comes back here every now and again but always in July or August as it warm then. We are all going about in cut offs and vest tops, while Della is wearing jeans and an arran sweater, grumbling about how cold she is.

Ally, my neighbour, visits Portugal three or four times a year (in normal times) and makes the same comment - the visiting Brits go around in t-shirts and shorts whilst the locals wear warm clothing and complain about the cold!
