Took this pic off the STV News and not looking forward to it one wee bit. Thank goodness I got Dageus's coat off when I did. :halo:
Look at the London temp, 37deg, my god that will be horrible.

I don't cope with the heat either, the nicest part is the thunderstorm we usually get after

can't cope with heat like I used to. 2003, August in Madrid, 43C, wearing a suit for the wedding - no problem. Now, anything over 25C has me suffering

I used to love it, up untill about ten years ago the sun only had to blink and I was out on the lounger. 🌞 I would rush through my work so as I could have a few hours out in it. I had a terrific tan I was so dark skinned I could be taken for a foreigner, then one year I suddenly got heat stroke and ever since I feel ill if it gets too hot.

I'm not a sun worshipper, burn easily, and I hate the heat at night. Next week is going to be a scorcher too.  We're having a bit of a family get together at the weekend (some of my OHs lot from Scotland are holidaying a bit south of here already) at our son and daughter in law's. Praying its not too hot!
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I shall be sitting inside with my air-con unit however much it costs me to run it.

Ceiling fans are very popular, has anyone got one ?

Raven

Used to have one in my old house, but it had to stay when I left. I have big floor fans in the Living Room and in the Den, and a large table top one in the bedroom on top of a tall chest of drawers, it is angled to blow over the bed. Only ever needed it on the low setting.....So far.

I have a fan in the kitchen, the lounge, the office and the bedroom. Yesterday was the first time none of them were turned on for a week or so, and so far, none needed today.
