Title: John Lewis
Post by: Sheila on January 28, 2022, 09:25:21 AM
I can't find the thread where I mentioned that our Chromebook which is over a year old had stopped working.  The John Lewis guarantee is for two years.
I think you have known me long enough to know that I have no connection with John Lewis but they have been fantastic.  They arranged collection and we didn't even have to pack it up.
It has just been returned to us from the Lenovo repair centre with a note saying the Lithium Ion batteries had failed so have been replaced.
Zoony, I told you to have faith!

John Lewis have a good reputation..
So much better than Curry's/Pc World .. they are uncooperative.. I would rather pay the extra price and shop with someone you can rely on..
Crap Christmas ad though.. !

I particularly liked the fact that, when settling my late sister's indebtedness to them, their records had her owing a bit less than did mine

I really miss the John Lewis Home in Chester, it closed last year.  It was always lovely to walk round, particularly at Christmas time.   A large building with two floors and it's still empty, so no idea what will happen to it .

The John Lewis in Sheffield also closed. We've bought from there in the past, really cheesed off they've gone.
