Quote from: morty on March 28, 2023, 07:15:32 PMI stepped up on the ledge, balanced one foot on the water butt and one on the corner of the shed roof, reached over .... and lost my balance... and ended up with my super size backside plugged into the butt like a cork.

How embarrassing, ending up as a human butt plug.

Snap, as you do, I too live on my own so I have a system whereby I send a text at a more or less set time each morning to let them know I'm up & about.

It's really for the protection of the furry ones in the event of something happening to me.

I do the same - text my s-i-l around 0800 - as for the mobile number - couldn't remember it to save my life, so it is written pown on a piece of paper in the case
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

That's a good idea, I should do the same really :upvote:

I would but I'd only forget and cause a panic...

I gave my mother a phone that would dial out and leave a message with the first of the 3 numbers that answered if the panic button that hung on a lanyard you had round your neck was pressed. I got two false alarms when she dropped off and somehow triggered it. She took to putting it down rather than wear it. When she collapsed in the kitchen and needed it there it was in the lounge unreachable. It took her an absolute age to alert the neighbours.

That's a good point Klondy, with my memory I'd probably forget too
