If you could choose a 3 or 4 day break leaving on Tuesday, where would you go :?:
I've been looking at short breaks by coach for two of us, but nowhere really excites me. Berlin and Rome are hard acts to follow and I don't think anywhere in UK compares !
York is pretty good
I'd stick to the UK too. Foreign travel especially for a short break is more of a punishment than a holiday imo. My pasport expired years ago and I have never had an urge to renew it.
My sister and me used to go away with Sheerings.. Many seaside places. The Cotswold.. and the Isle of Wight..
Pick -up was brilliant..
Sometimes the coach is less hassle than driving/parking..
... and some have toilets on board...luxury.. can't do THAT in a car..
I didn't renew my passport so unless I win the lottery I won't be going abroad again. The short breaks I've had were fine - once you got there, it was always the airport that was the 'punishment'
I've been to York and Edinburgh a couple of times, never ventured darn sarf, apart from London
I didn't renew my passport either.. I too am waiting for a Lottery win.. then I will travel in style.
I do pop down to Devon ..
Dublin or Cork
It would depend on what your looking for, culture, theatres, shops ect it would have to be a historical town for me.
If it's peace n quiet then a log cabin in the Perth Dunkeld area is perfect, and not too far from a town if you need one.
We need somewhere with places to see, plus shops and cafes to sit down OFTEN ! I've been to Dublin but not Cork. Belfast was nice we got a cheap flight into George Best airport  almost as bad as calling Speke John Lennon airport
Ireland has been on my bucket list for a while now. Maybe soon, if I can drag Himself away from the farm, if we still have it, he's been looking at places with a wee bit of land for us to retire to. Need the land as the Clyde's will be coming with us.

I like Dunkeld, took the kids there when we were home for holidays. I remember the Hermitage.
Love Dunkeld, there's a wee tearoom in the centre we used to go to after we walked the hermitage, also love the river walk there up past the
Cathedral, have lots of photos from there will look some out.
we used to love the hermitage - as did Fleur!
