Hello everyone - it is absolutely pouring down here - and likely to continue all day. My drive is flooded and the garden is like a swamp. Nemo's solution - crawl back under the quilt and ignore it, which sounds good to me - unfortunately the housework goblins have other ideas!

Ask people who have worked in the NHS for a long time how they feel?  I know some will say they offer too many services, and the numbers of clinical/non clinical staff are skewed.   Like much of the public sector there are lots of highly paid roles that have little impact on actual treatment and care of patients.  It needs some outside skills to strip it down then rebuild it to a sustainable and acceptable level.

Whilst I think we should treat immigrants in emergency situations, we should be building up a record so if they are given leave to stay the costs can be retrieved like student loans.

Yes, your bank & all the other agencies will pretty much ensure you can't do without the internet even if you wanted to.

The Covid jab I had yesterday was done at a GP Surgery which, presumably, was chosen because the premises were able to support a one way system of in & out.
