Our street is having a party to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee....
I live at the top of the street and on a slight bend.. Having no neighbours opposite my house puts me in a quieter spot..
My mate lives halfway up the street making her the centre of the celebrations. She will expect me to join in the fun..
I think it is a lovely idea. My daughter and some of my other friends are also celebrating in their areas.
What.. if anything... is your street doing.. ? and will you be joining in.. ?
I can almost guess who will say 'No I'm bloody not'.
I'm going to a Jubilee picnic at my youngest granddaughter's school next week. Should be fun! 🇬🇧🏴🏴
Enjoy your party scrumpy!
I knew you wouldn't be a 'No' GrannyMac..
Enjoy your picnic.. :yahoo:
I'm a party pooper - would be us our neighbaas the sheep and a couple of horses from up the road, and if we set up tables in the street we would be mowed down by the big lorries and boy racers doing 70+ tearing down the hill.
I don't know if there's anything going on in our road,if there is I'll take me flag
We'll be in a new street by then. I certainly hope they make the effort!
Good luck with your move Oy.
I live on a main road so no street parties here.
Jacqueline.. Your description of a street party with the animals, lorries and boy racers made me grin..

Are you a Guardian reader unsure whether you should celebrate the Jubilee? Here's how to enjoy this outdated patriotic event in an inclusive, ethical and non-nationalistic way.
