They've definitely started already. I thought I heard some the other night too but these are near enough to be certain especially as I can see them through the window. Poor pets.

I presume fireworks - thankfully none near here nowadays - there used to be a village display in the next field, which Fleur hated, but thankfully it moved to the park two miles away
Yes fireworks. There are lots of East Europeans around here but I've no idea if it is them ignoring the day but using the fireworks for personal celebrations or not. They can spread over more than a week. Perhaps when I get my deaf aids on the 10th I'll find it's even longer.
