And it was going at a fair rate of knots as well.

Peugeot 206.. She has never let me down and the repair costs have been minimal..
She cost me nearly 10,000 all those years ago..
Her lights automatically come on when needed and her wipers come on automatically when it rains..
All I have to do is drive..
I certainly wouldn't touch an Electric Motor.. They scare me a bit.. I know it's silly but I would be wary of driving it in a thunderstorm.. :boo:
We have a 2007 Peugeot 307 Sport that we bought in 2010 for £5,000 & while we've had it the car has never had a service, just an oil change & oil filter every couple of years & the air filters have been changed three times.

It's never broken down or failed to start & it's just had the normal items that wear replaced.

It has had a couple of front springs replaced but that was pothole damage & not a fault of the car.

It has had a couple of cambelt kits fitted, well before the recommended date, but only because I play safe with them.

The exhaust is still the original factory fitted exhaust.

It uses no oil whatsoever & it doesn't need topping up between changes despite the hammering the engine often gets from me.

It has everything we need such as cruise control & speed limiter plus, as Scrumpy says, automatic lights & wipers.

I hope I haven't jinxed it now. Lol

Quote from: Alex on March 26, 2024, 06:33:03 PMWhy did it veer Right, into the concrete pillar?  When the lights went out it was in a straight line, if power was down how did it turn to the right and hit the concrete ?  If it's a daft question, humour me !
It didn't suddenly veer. Huge ships can't suddenly turn anywhere. It had been heading for the bridge support for some time. I wish I could locate that first video I saw again. It was damned boring as the ship was many minutes out when it started. Everybody seems to have cropped the first bit and just cut to the chase.

Quote from: Alex on March 26, 2024, 06:28:49 PMThere's checking and then there's checking.  These two were detained for over two hours, when finally released the officer told them QUOTE " We had to make sure you're not doing here what you're doing over in Gaza "

This incident has been brought up in parliament today and there'll be an investigation.  Good !
You seem to have unwavering support for the Jews over & above the regulations of the UK, but how did the Border Force officers know they weren't Mossad agents on their way to assassinate Palestinian targets because that's what Mossad does.

You might struggle with that seeing how unpopular they are.

One of my colleagues forgot a visit to Dubai and answered two instead of three trips to U.A.E. He was sent to a room and interrogated extensively.

So their moaning will be laughed at by people who went through the Israel airports.

If the ' officer' had kept his mouth shut instead of mentioning Gaza it would have probably all blown over.

Difficult for them to blame the bridge.

How do you think them up ?
