Alex

We've had illness and injury I know, but it does seem unusually quiet on here.

Raven

I thought that too, I pop on in the afternoon and not a soul in sight. It's 3am just now and I'm wide awake. Been through to the toilet, then went to the kitchen and got an ice pack out of the freezer, now back in bed with it on my knee....Bliss. Ice fair draws the pain out.

good to hear, Raven  :upvote:  :upvote:  :upvote:
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

I had a day out on Thursday, I was really tired yesterday! Must be an age thing :yell:
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

As the better weather comes it draws you to doing outside things. The last few days have been sunny and nice, though a bit chilly, but it would have had me out tidying the greenhouse or pulling a few weeds if the ground was soft enough.

Scrumpy

It has been quiet on here for some time now.. I have tried putting up new threads over the weeks but there is little or no response  so I take them down..
I do look over the  'other side'..
We started off fine.. but over the weeks some left or took others down..
Alfred was a prolific poster but he has been dealing with illness.. I doubt he will be posting again..
Crabby.. !!! Say no more... and we lost Zoony..
We are not easy to find.. Had we been, the group that found PF might have found us.. They certainly gave PF a much needed lift..
Klondike (Mark) has been great.. He certainly has put a lot of work into this site..
He too must notice it's decline..  I congratulate him for what he has tried to achieve..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

GrannyMac

I agree with everything you say Scrumpy, and I'm grateful to Mark too. But there just aren't enough regulars to regularly find something new and interesting to post. I hold my hands up, I'm a joiner in rather than a starter, but even the cryptic games I enjoy only have a couple of players.

I use both forums, like several of us, but prefer the feel of this one.  The takeover of PF seemed just a bit quick to me, with the old regulars being somewhat pushed aside.

On a lighter note, Brian's definitely thriving 'over there'. Nothing new, just regurgitating more of the same old rubbish but to a bigger audience!

Brian must be 'over the moon'..  At the moment his posts are popular but they are beginning to twig on.. He will never fade away completely because he has no idea that he repeats himself.
I too prefer the 'feel' of this forum..
There are people 'over there' that would fit in nicely on here.. and I would have liked to have seen that happen..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

And instead I've just ambled by ...

Scrumpy

And you are very welcome Morty..
But a woman shouldn't be travelling on her own.. You should have brought some friends with you..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I'm glad you said that GM as that's just how I feel about the Mother Ship !

Sorry to hear Alfred isn't well, he was a real gent on both sites.

morty

I did notice a few of you have tended to drift away ..... is it okay if I hang around here then?

There was no intention to 'push you aside' but I suppose as there were more newcomers posting than regular active old posters it did end up panning out that way.

Raven

I've not been on the Mother Ship for several Months now?

morty

I noticed you'd gone ... and one or two others don't seem around as much. But that strange man is still there who lives in Birmigham and keeps bumping into strangers.

Alex

The more the merrier here Morty...... but s l o w l y
I don't think the newcomers intended to push us aside as you say, but that's what happened, because too many came all together and just talked to each other.  It went on for ages, so oldies couldn't get a look in and had no idea who these people were.  I can't do things fast these days    so one or two newcomers at a time will suit me, dunno about everyone else ?
