I know the name but that's about it for me. I think he must have been a little before my time.

Mary's Boy Child and Scarlet Ribbons were so popular. Also the Banana Boat song. He had a lovely voice.   From such a poor childhood, its amazing he lived to 96.

I vaguely remember those 2 songs from my very early years, my mum was always singing along to the radio and those titles seem familiar.  :hmm:

He was certainly a big part of the music scene in my youth.
