hi I broke an egg yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find two yolks
years ago an old polish guy used to sell them on Donny market, all garrunteed to be double Yolkers,
how long is it since you had one?

Can't remember the last time I had one of those  crabbyob ☹️

Me neither, you just don't get them nowadays, maybe the hens aren't as happy as they used to be  ?

we live next to a chicken farm, and Williams eggs quite often are double yolks - perhaps one in ten?

Some 4-5 yrs ago our local butcher used to get them. Nice enough for a change but I have to say I prefer just one, fat golden yolk.

Some years ago, a mobile greengrocer used to call.

Eggs... "All of 'em double yolked". And, they were!

We buy our eggs at the local farm shop.  The chickens roam freely round the trees during the day but I presume that they are taken in at night.  The eggs are lovely with large, very yellow yolks.

Our neighbour used to have chickens and ducks in his garden and every week would give us some.  I loved the duck eggs.
